My Story

As an athlete growing up and throughout adulthood, I suffered from many injuries and medical conditions over the years, without much relief from traditional Western medicine. This is what originally led me to pursue a career in alternative medicine. In an effort to pay it forward and educate the public and my patients on self care, I like to focus my practice on sports and medical therapies such as: natural pain relief; corrective therapeutic exercise; athletic recovery and conditioning; sinus, migraine and TMJ dysfunction; and flexibility for injury prevention. Some of my best work has been with golf swings, "frozen shoulder", swimmers, hockey players, cancer and fibromyalgia patients, dancers and gymnasts.

I worked alongside my school director  and other C.O.R.E. graduates and structural integrators after the school closed in 2009. However, I found my passion as a healer once I began working in chiropractic and sports medicine clinics. It was then I decided to help bridge the gap between Eastern and Western medicine, especially after all I had personally experienced throughout my life with pain.

I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and the American College of Sports Medicine. I am currently licensed in California, but have held Licensure in Colorado and Tennessee. Also, I recently just advanced from Nationally Certified to BOARD Certified from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. I am currently practicing in Pacifica, CA but travel all over Northern California.

My formal education consists of many personal training and group fitness certifications through AAAI/ISMA, FiTour/ACE, NASM/The Rush, Aaron Mattes, and ACSM. I also have my Bachelor's from Western State Colorado University in Kinesiology. Before returning to school to finish my Bachelors, however, I went to massage therapy school and immediately following graduation at the Center for Rehabilitative Education (C.O.R.E.) Massage Institute, pursued a 10 month structural re-integration, active release, Active Isolated Stretching, and neuromuscular therapy study while simultaneously getting my P.H.D. in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
